The Wine Program at Crawford Brothers
March 2025
How big is the wine list at Crawford Brothers?
Thirty-seven pages. Over 300 bottles spanning France, Italy, Spain, Germany, California, Oregon, Washington, Australia, and Slovenia. Nineteen pages of reds alone — Napa Cabernet, Walla Walla Cab Franc, Barolo from Piemonte, Rioja Reserva from Muga, Bordeaux from Graves. Plus sparkling, white, rosé, orange, and a full spirits program. For a steakhouse in the Fenton district of Cary, this is not a wine list that exists as an afterthought. This is a serious, sommelier-driven program built to stand on its own — and one of the deepest in the Triangle.
Who curates the wine list?
Head Sommelier Mat Brochard and Assistant Sommelier Anita Tingle curate the list under Beverage Director Jordan Joseph. Every bottle is chosen to complement the kitchen — our dry-aged program, the raw bar, the seafood, the sides. The list moves with the seasons and with what the team is excited about drinking right now.
What can I get by the glass?
Over 25 wines by the glass, from $16 to $65 per 6oz pour. Voirin-Jumel Champagne Grand Cru. Chablis from Eleni et Edouard Vocoret. Pinot Noir from Purple Hands in Willamette Valley. Guido Porro Barolo. Freemark Abbey Napa Cabernet. Snowden Brothers Vineyard at the top. There is also a Slovenian orange wine from Movia and a Piemonte Rosato from Proprieta Sperino — selections you will not find at most restaurants in the Triangle.
Should I ask the sommelier?
Always. Mat and Anita know which bottles are drinking well right now and can match your preferences to your meal and mood. That is what they are here for. They are not there to judge what you order. They are there to make your night better. Tell them what you like, what you are eating, and how adventurous you feel — they will handle the rest.
Can I see the full wine list?
Yes. View the full wine list here (PDF). It is updated regularly as new vintages arrive and selections rotate.
